2 Triple Crown Races Postponed

10K and Triathlon Postponed due to COVID-19

The current situation with COVID-19 and following both the British Triathlon’s and UK Athletic Association’s recent announcements, it means we have to proceed with the postponement of both THE ABERSOCH 10K and THE ABERSOCH TRIATHLON and provide new dates for the 2020 Abersoch Triple Crown.

It is gutting to have to make this call, but it is imperative to do so. We hope for anyone entered at the time of making this call that in the circumstances you understand and will help us to work with the options we can offer. For any new entries from Tues 31st March this will not affect you, just make sure you check the dates detailed below.

As per our Terms & Conditions, In the case of a postponement, new dates are created for any of the races within the Triple Crown, which we clear with local authorities, emergency services and landowners.

We have managed to get the following dates authorised:

Abersoch 10K: Saturday 12th September 2020
Abersoch Triathlon: Saturday 3rd October 2020
and unchanged is
Abersoch Half Marathon: Saturday 24th October 2020

You don’t have to do anything; your entry will be adjusted automatically and a new confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address (check your spam if you don’t see it).

For those that can’t make any of the new dates, you have the option to transfer your entry at no cost to next year’s Abersoch Triple Crown, which will take place on the following dates:

Abersoch 10K: Saturday 5th June 2021
Abersoch Triathlon: Saturday 19th June 2021
Abersoch Half Marathon: Saturday 23rd October 2021

You do this by clicking on the button labelled “View My Events” at the bottom of your confirmation email, then select “Change Event” and follow the instructions.

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS

More to consider

If neither of these options work then you can use your entry as credit to enter any of the individual races this year or next to the value of your Triple Crown entry.

Sat 24th OCT 2020: Abersoch Half Marathon
Sat 15th MAY 2021: THE ROC Spring
Sat 5th JUNE 2021: Abersoch 10K
Sat 19th JUNE 2021: Abersoch Triathlon
Sat 4th SEPT 2021: THE ROC Summer
Sat 23rd OCT 2021: Abersoch Half Marathon

We want to reassure you that the health and well-being of everyone involved in the Abersoch Triple Crown is our primary concern. We hope that all who have entered will appreciate that given the situation, the right decision has been made and although we don’t issue refunds in this situation, we have made great efforts to give you plenty of options to ensure you can still take on the Triple Crown or any of the Abersoch races, this year or next.

We recognise that you will share our huge disappointment and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this will incur. This is unprecedented times and we ask for your support and understanding while everyone works through this difficult time and we try to keep both our health and our passions alive and well.
